It seems that my population simply can’t grow fast enough to make colonizing a planet worth it, and I am only able to have enough energy credits by desperately selling all the alloys I need to actually build things. I generally have my bio-trophy pop outnumber my others very early on, and I run out of energy extremely fast. Rogue servitor seems to be the worst not only can I not turn primaries into batteries (the only thing that kept my other early games alive) but I have to produce consumer goods. I’ve tried four different times, and each time I have either gotten into a war and lost miserably or I have been boxed in and had pathetic everything by the time my opponents actually have good things. I have never made it past mid game as a machine. I decided to give the synthetic option a go and I am having the exact opposite experience. It was very fun and I had a great time, especially with the new hive planet mechanic and updated habitats. I never played as a gestalt consciousness prior to 2.2, and I gave a hivemind game a try recently. I am asking this question because I am starting to genuinely wonder if my game is bugged or if I am doing something wrong. ![]()
